Enlighten OSX Dashboard Widget

Enphase Energy is a company which primarily manufactures microinverters for solar PV arrays.

They've recently released an API for their Enlighten monitoring service, which gives access to current and historical solar production data.

However, they have more recently started charging for API access. For any access over a small number of hits per month, they seem to want money from app developers, even if that app is free like this one. And while Enphase has graciously made an exception for me and given me a higher plan for free, I disagree with this direction quite strongly.

I've discontinued the dashboard widget for now. I'll see if I can find some time to translate it into the pvoutput.org API instead, a project which understands that you gain users and loyalty by adding new and compelling features, not by taking them away.

This widget for OSX, built in javascript with jQuery and flot, displays your current daily power and energy output in your dashboard. All you need is an Enlighten subscription, and your API key from the Account section of your Enlighten page, and API access enabled on your system.

To enable widget access in Enlighten:

Log in to enlighten.enphaseenergy.com
Go to "API Preferences" tab and click "Generate API Key" - copy the result
Go to the "Systems" tab, select your system if necessary, and click the system settings tab with the gear icon.
Go down to "Privacy Settings" and click "Allow API Access" under "API Settings."
Paste your copied API key into the API field on the back of the widget, and select your system.

Neato features:

Clicking the main display toggles between text showing current stats, and the daily graph.
Hovering on the daily graph will show tooltips with values for that point.
If the system has issues, clicking the status should take you to the system status page.
Clicking the enphase logo takes you to the enphase homepage.

Known Bugs and deficiencies:

~~Graph sometimes renders large on the widget, fixed by redisplaying dashboard~~ (fixed in 0.93)
Updates only happen on dashboard redisplay, not via timer

Allow selection of other dates for display?
Allow comparison with other dates?
Keep list of past API keys in dropdown?
